Loi Loi - Vietnamese on Victoria street.

To be honest, this is the sort of place you would take your friends to, for a good laugh, not a work dinner to impress your boss.
The dinner is very casual with typical vietnamese food, the outstanding is one of their desserts!

You would order the special fritter dessert and be surprised what is coming out from the kitchen.. Haha
Can I just show you a photo and leave it there? A picture says more then words.. Haha

Cochin - Modern Vietnamese / French fusion.

Cochin - Modern Vietnamese / French

Amazing! Can I just say that? 'Feed me' menu for only 25 bucks! Perfect for a dinner out with some good mates on a quiet night. The service is just unbelievable and they have great knowledge about the food and wine they serve, second time to we have been there and they know us already.

Started with some spring rolls and chicken wings always a favourite that works for everyone!

Here comes something interesting, coconut with prawns and glass-noodle curry, so creamy and the prawns are cooked to perfection! You might need to lick you fingers afterwards.. Haha

Lemongrass and pork, again another flavour bomb! There is also a large selection of wine and cocktails.

Perfect as a afterwork restaurant or cosy quiet space for couples, who just want to relax! Feels like you are in Hanoi without all the people.

Spice Temple, Modern Chinese food.

Let me just say YUM!
This is Chinese food as you won't expect it to be.

If you feel like spoiling yourself, one of your love ones, or why not on the first date to impress? Spice Temple is the right place. It is modern, relaxed and with excellent service, the food is just fabulous.

Me and my partner like to share our meals and most of the time (if there is an optional), ask for the 'feed me' menu. With 'feed me' you get to try different dishes, maybe sometimes things you wouldn't normally order, there is more variety and bang for your buck!

Here are some of the dishes that were outstanding for us at Spice Temple, a winter Saturday in June.

Their Kingfish with pickled green chilli, black sesame and shallot oil just melts in your mouth. The slices are so finely and carefully sliced. Amazing and fresh!

The steamed Rockling, Jiangxi Style pickled mustard greens and turnip with chilli is just a big flavour bomb! It is sweet, salty, spicy, it is everything in one plate! It is such a surprise when you eat it, the sauce is just heaven. We could literally drink that sauce. Beautiful!

Okay, the last one, Red braised Pork, shredded with Chilli, Ginger, and Black vinegar. This pork is cooked in a master stock for over 24h and it is so tender it breaks in your mouth as soon you pop it in and the flavour WOW. Just fantastic!

I promise you, sometimes it helps to open up some buttons to fit that last piece in..

Gami - Korean Fried Chicken and Beer

Such a great after work, causal dining to a low price and with great service!

Korean fried chicken, a whole chicken or a mix of chicken parts, boneless or with bones and your choice of flavour. I recommend to try the flavour Soy Garlic and of course the Original. And why not a small bite of the fried rice cake with sweet chilli sauce? Yum.

All this plus a jug of beer for $55, such a good combo! The food could easily be shared between three ppl. We shared between two and couldn't walk to the car afterwards! We were literally rolling...
